I know you’re wondering why I’m suddenly talking about how to lose weight fast. It all started because the other day I had a rare opportunity to climb a flight of stairs, and it did me in. By the time I got myself up to the top, I was sweating profusely, huffing and puffing, my face was red, and I was in bad shape. I had to get myself into the bathroom, splashed some cold water in my face, and looked up into the mirror, and that was when it hit me: I have to lose weight. Fast.

On some level, I’m starting to feel like I’m becoming my father. He was an enormously fat man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a devout, family focused approach to life. But I tell you, he was huge. And nowadays I’m growing large too. Don’t get me wrong, I love my dad, but I really want to keep myself from getting to 250 pounds. Because once you get that far along, there’s not really any way of turning back.

So I’ve been researching how to lose weight very fast. My wife has agreed to do this with me, saying that she has been thinking about losing weight too, which will no doubt make it a lot easier to stay with whatever diet program we decide on. There’s an awful lot of weight loss advice out there.

I’ll keep you guys apprised of how well the weight loss plan turns out for us. I know losing weight isn’t going to be easy, but it’s what has to happen as far as I can tell, so I’ll be working hard to figure out how to lose weight fast.
